MY BOOK IS COMING

 

Friends: my book is about to become a reality.

I have waited patiently for the company that accepted my manuscript to be ready to present the work to me as it would be printed and - after reviewing it - to indicate any modifications, or decide that everything is fine  and they can continue with the printing and distribution process.

That will have to happen during this month of April, and I hope it will be before the month is half over.

When I handed in my manuscript last October, there were a few things to add, but even so, I thought it could be ready by January.

However, because it is a long text, it has taken longer to revise and that is what they are doing now.

Once the book is published, I will be ready to give some talks about my work and to respond to the journalistic requests from newspapers, radio and television channels.

The most important thing is that you read the book and form an opinion about the UAP issue, what it is about, what is its essence, and what function it has to fulfill if the case arises, and at the same time, what is the current function of the AARO (the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office) belonging to the Secretary of Defense.

All of this implies an awareness of the importance of the UAP (formerly UFO) issue and why, if on the one hand fantasy and mystery are promoted with a constant talk of extraterrestrials, (or more sophisticatedly  “non-humans”) on the other hand there is scientific investigation into what is happening, and the scientific data agree that the subject - essentially - has nothing to do with non-human or extraterrestrial entities.

But having said this, the obligation to investigate, to be aware of what is happening, and to validly conclude the evaluation of cases, becomes essential.

When you tune out all the noise produced by the charlatans of fantasy, in order to pick up the signal, it is easy to realize that there is what I call “ufology for profit”. A whole series of individuals who have taken the subject as a commodity to be sold -- and sold well -- creating videos, films, symposia, conferences, etc. in abundance, which yields millions of dollars.

The writer of this article has never exploited the subject commercially. He has never become a millionaire thanks to researching and studying the subject. On the contrary, he has had to invest his own money to acquire research tools and books, and to make trips to contact fellow researchers. That is my reality. And this writer has lived from his work and now from his retirement.

That is the reality of many serious researchers.

Therefore, these are my credentials, together with my 67 years dedicated to the subject, which give me the backing to make it clear that I know what I am writing about, and why I have also decided that this is my last book on the subject of UFOs/UAPs.

MI LIBRO ESTÁ POR LLEGAR

 

Amigos: mi libro está por ser una realidad.

 

He esperado con mucha paciencia el tiempo que la empresa que aceptó mi manuscrito, esté lista para presentarme la obra tal cual saldría impresa y --revisándola-- les indique alguna modificación, o decida que está todo bien  y pueden continuar con el proceso de impresión y distribución.

Eso tendrá que ocurrir durante este mes de abril, y aguardo que sea antes de que el mes llegue a su mitad.

 

Cuando entregué mi manuscrito el pasado mes de Octubre, hubo algunas cosas que agregar, pero así y todo, pensé que en Enero podría estar pronto.

 

Sin embargo, por ser un texto voluminoso, su revisión ha llevado más tiempo y en esto estamos.

 

Luego que el libro aparezca, estaré listo para dar alguna charla sobre mi obra, y para responder a la requisitoria periodística de diarios, radios y canales de televisión.

 

Lo más importante, es que ustedes lean el libro y se formen una opinión acerca del tema UAP, de qué se trata, cuál es su esencia, y cuál es la función que tiene que cumplir llegado el caso, y a su vez, cuál es la función actual de la AARO.( Oficina de Resolución de Anomalías en Todos los Ámbitos) dependiente de la Secretaría de Defensa.

 

Todo esto implica una toma de conciencia sobre la importancia que el tema UAP (antes UFO) tiene, y por qué, si por un lado se impulsa la fantasía y el misterio, se habla machaconamente de extraterrestres, o más sofisticadamente de "no-humanos"; por otro lado se investiga científicamente lo que ocurre, y los datos científicos coinciden en que el tema --esencialmente-- nada tiene que ver con entidades no-humanas o extraterrestres.

 

Pero al decir esto, la obligación de investigar, de estar al tanto de lo que sucede, y de concluir válidamente la evaluación de un caso, se hace imprescindible. 

 

Cuando se deja de lado todo el ruido producido por los charlatanes de la fantasía, para captar la señal, es fácil darse cuenta que existe lo que llamo "ufología para ganar dinero". Toda una serie de individuos que  han tomado el tema como una mercancía que se vende --y bien-- creando a raudales videos, películas, simposios, conferencias, etc. lo que reditúa dólares por millones. 

 

Quien esto escribe, jamás ha explotado el tema comercialmente. Jamás se ha hecho millonario gracias a investigar y estudiar el tema. Por el contrario, ha debido invertir de su propio dinero para adquirir instrumental de investigación, libros, y realizar algunos viajes para contactarse con colegas investigadores. Esa es mi realidad. 

 

Esa es la de muchos investigadores serios. 

 

Por tanto, esas son mis credenciales, junto con mis 67 años dedicados al tema, que me dan el respaldo para que se comprenda que sé de lo qué escribo, y por qué he decidido además que este sea mi último libro sobre el tema UFO/UAP.
