ERROR Y UNA SEGUNDA OPORTUNIDAD - MISTAKE AND A SECOND CHANCE

Somos humanos. Todos cometemos errores. Todos fallamos de muchas maneras. Pero esencialmente, queremos ser correctos, y buenos, y justos.

Por eso, además del juicio que otros pueden tener sobre nosotros, existe nuestro propio juicio. Y si nos miramos con honestidad, podemos darnos cuenta de los muchos errores y fallas que hemos cometido.

Pero por la misma razón, apreciaremos las palabras de aliento que podamos recibir; las formas en que otras personas se acercan a nosotros, con comprensión, tratando de ayudarnos a superar una situación difícil, una especie de piedra con la cual hemos tropezado.

Es por eso que pienso que deberíamos darnos a nosotros mismos y dar a los demás una segunda oportunidad. Podemos haber fallado la primera vez, pero si aprendimos una lección, seguramente ahora estamos preparados para no repetir los errores del pasado.

Nosotros, como cualquier otra persona, merecemos tener una segunda oportunidad.

Tenemos que perdonar y ser perdonados.

Es algo así como la canción de Frank Sinatra, "Déjame intentarlo de nuevo".

Ahora permítanme ser claro: una segunda oportunidad es todo lo que podemos anhelar. Si fracasamos nuevamente, no debe haber una tercera oportunidad.

La vida es un camino y mientras viajamos, aprendemos lecciones.

Mantengamos con nosotros las lecciones que hemos aprendido, nunca las olvidemos, y avancemos nuevamente, con fe, buenos sentimientos y la esperanza de un mañana mejor.

 MISTAKE AND A SECOND CHANCE 

 
We are humans. We all make mistakes. We all fail in many ways. But essentially, we want to be right, and good, and fair. 

That is why --besides the judgment that others could have about us— there is our own judgment. And if we look at ourselves with honesty, we can realize the many mistakes and failures we have done.

But for the same token, we will appreciate the words of encouragement that we can receive; the ways other people approach us, with understanding, trying to help us overcome a difficult situation, a kind of stone on which we have stumbled.

That is why I think we should give ourselves and give others a second chance. We could have failed the first time, but if we learned a lesson, surely we are now prepared not to repeat the errors of the past.

We, as anyone else, deserve to have a second chance.

We have to forgive and be forgiven.

It’s something like the Frank Sinatra’s song, “Let me try again”.

Now allow me to be clear: a second chance is all that we can long for. If we fail again, there must be no a third chance.

Life is a way, and while we travel it, we learn lessons. 

Let’s keep with us the lessons we have learned, never forget them, and go ahead again, with faith, good feelings, and hope for a better tomorrow.
