Are the roaring cars in the highways, going faster because there are still gifts to buy.
Are the gestures of civility and kindness among the people when they met everywhere, at stores, at the movies, or just in the streets.
Is that feeling that is in the air. The color of the poinsettias. Certain perfumes, and the music of the season that invades almost every place.
Yes, indeed, this is Christmas time.
A time when we love more than usual, when we like to embrace our human fellows no matter if we know them or not, just for the simple fact that we are living together in the same –and for now— the only inhabitable planet.
A time to enjoy beautiful moments of fellowship with friends sitting around a table, chatting, eating and drinking.
A time to share the best of ourselves with our family.
A time to make a pause, reflect about our lives, the year that is almost gone, what have we achieved, what is ahead as a challenge, and to feel peace in our hearts enjoy in our souls.
For all of us who have faith, a time to give thanks to the Being-Itself for the gift of Emmanuel (Jesus) offered to the whole humanity, to all those who are open to getting to know Him and to accept the lifestyle he proposed.
Because it is not religion. It’s a way of being!.
